Gas Furnace Safety Inspection

A Safety Inspection is a routine checkup for your furnace. During this visit, our technicians test how the system is running, check for signs of gas leaks or any component wear, and make any necessary adjustments. The goal is to ensure everything is operating safely and efficiently, with no parts being overworked or overlooked. Regular Safety Inspections help keep your furnace in good running condition, helping you avoid costly repairs while making sure your home stays warm when you need it most. By checking all the key components and addressing small issues early, we can help prevent them from turning into bigger, more expensive problems down the road.

Gas Furnace Safety Inspection

Regular furnace Safety Inspection will help keep your system running efficiently and helps prevent breakdowns when you need heat most. Our 30-point Safety Inspection catches problems before they become expensive repairs. Maintaining a gas furnace means inspecting and cleaning components, testing safety controls, and checking for worn parts.

Maintenance Frequency

Most manufacturers include a 5-year parts warranty with their equipment, but they also require written proof of annual maintenance. Scheduling a yearly Service and Safety Inspection not only keeps your warranty valid, it also helps prevent unexpected breakdowns during the heating season.

Why Maintenance Matters

Regular servicing helps protect your family from dangerous gas or carbon monoxide leaks. It also prevents the dirt and dust buildup that can lead to overheating and costly component damage, all while keeping your manufacturer’s warranty intact.

Frequently Asked Questions

Some common signs include the furnace not turning on, making unusual noises like banging or squealing, or the flames are burning yellow instead of a blue bunsen flame. A sudden increase in your utility bills or a decline in your home’s air quality can also indicate a problem. If you notice any of these signs, it’s best to call a professional.

You should have your gas furnace professionally serviced and Safety Inspected at least once a year, ideally  before the heating season begins. This regular Service and Safety Inspection helps maintain efficiency, extends the life of your unit, and can prevent unexpected breakdowns during the winter.

During a professional inspection, a technician performs a full review of your heating system. This includes inspecting internal components, checking the heat exchanger for cracks, inspecting the burner flame, testing all safety controls, and measuring carbon monoxide levels to confirm safe operation.

Yes. The most important task a homeowner can do is to check the furnace filter every 30-90 days and replace it when it’s dirty. You should also ensure the area around your furnace is clear of dust and debris and that all vents in your home are open and unrestricted.

Different noises can point to different issues. A high-pitched squeal could indicate a problem with the blower motor bearings. Banging or popping sounds might be caused by your air ducts expanding and contracting. Because these noises can signify mechanical problems, it’s important to have them checked by a qualified technician.
